GULLET SYSTEM

The Easy-Change Gullet System allows you to change your saddle's fit to suit your horse's changing shape. You can alter the fit of your saddle over your horse's wither by changing the gullet plate in the head of the saddle. There are six different fractional fit gullets to choose from, ranging from Narrow to Extra Wide.

ADJUSTABLE Y-GIRTHING SYSTEM

The unique Y-girthing system on Bates Dressage saddles secures the front and back of the saddle. Y-girth points can be adjusted to individually suit the horse’s shape.

CAIR PANEL SYSTEM CAIR logo

The CAIR Panel System replaces the flocking in a saddle with air panels. The CAIR air panels in the saddle will evenly distribute your weight across the entire length of the panel virtually eliminating pressure points and, therefore, maximising the bearing area on the horse's back.

ADJUSTABLE FLEXIBLOC SYSTEM

Bates Flexiblocs are a moveable bloc under the flap allowing the rider to individually tailor their thigh and knee support. Uniquely Positioned

ELASTIFLEX TREE

Designed to be rigid in the head to maintain clearance of the horse's withers, whilst possessing lateral flex to work with the horse's muscular movement, Bates Elastiflex Trees are guaranteed for the lifetime of the saddle.

STIRRUP BARS

On Bates dressage saddles, the stirrup bars are positioned further back than the standard bar helping to effortlessly balance the rider in ear, shoulder, hip and heel alignment and maintain an ideal dressage position.
